It’s been so long since I wrote on this thing I don’t even know if I deserve to have it, but im in a somewhat reflective mood and have been thinking a lot lately I figured I’d attempt to jot my thoughts down.

This year has seemed to be one of the longest of my life. As I sit here on our last day of tour for the year I keep thinking of the first day of tour in february, meeting up with ludo, sing it loud and the morning light. Straight up feels like years ago! Haven’t had a lot of time to myself except january and now december, sort of like bookends to a crazy year. Obviously I have to love my job and it’s been a blast but sometimes my life just doesnt feel real. You have to sacrifice a lot to live this sort of lifestyle. Ive had relationships go down the drain in this year alone due to me always being on the road. Lost touch with some friends, even my family life has gone through some serious shit. However, this is also the first year of touring that I feel like I’ve met certain key people that I will never forget, and hopefully will remain close to me in some way. Yet again those people have similar lifestyles to me so there’s only so much you can do about that.

This entry has started to sound somewhat somber, definitely not my intention. I love my life, and am very blessed. We’ve been doing this band for half a decade now. Half a freaking decade! Im in disbelief we’ve been able to last as long as we have, and im so stoked for the future. My mindset has changed over the years, my surroundings have changed significantly, and im not about to look back for too long. I’m VERY excited to use these next 5-6 weeks off to get my ass back in gear with writing music. After all, music is my first love, and well… the main reason why I do what I do!

On another note, I know often at shows when I’m meeting fans and interacting with everyone I can come off as the prick of the band, or that quiet one, but the fact is I appreciate all of you deeply who have supported of the years. Theres no freaking way we could keep putting music out if it weren’t for all of you! The fact that theres even some of you out there reading this right now is amazing. Keep supporting good music, and I hope you’re holiday seasons are amazing.
